Another one bites the dust
Apr. 8th, 2002 09:29 pmHmm. Another old series that I used to fancy has been weeded out. Ascension. Still much with the pretty, I like David Finch's scratchy style, but the whole of it is turning off more then it's turning on these days. The text is beyond stupid, large bits of exposition interlaced with fight scenes where the fluids flow freely and it seemed like kind of a bad thing to me to be keeping something that I only scan through and mummer "ooh" occasionally.
I'm torn between warring impulses hoard and keep *everything*, because who knows where inspiration might lurk and culling down the herd to the fittest and the finest. So, Ascension I can't quite make myself keep for just the art, but WildCATS I can. 'Cause, you know, Travis Charest, baby.
Gulp. And the giant pile o Witchblade still looms.
