Because I suck, I didn't bring a pen to the basement Buffy thing this evening, but am going to write the one or two interesting observations that I remember down, before I forget them (and hopefully this will lead to remembering other ones later).

Andrew = Xander who didn't have a Buffy (or a Willow, I would add)
Andrew = Spike before he was vamped
Xander = Spike?

Many good and thoughtful comments on seasons 6 and 7, which have probably persuaded me to the dvds.

No one likes Kennedy, even if they understood why she was there.

No one seems to be disturbed by the slayer army as I am (which wasn't exactly discussed, only that people mentioned how empowering they thought the fufillment of all those potentials were. While it is true that we really only get a hint of the consequences of that in Angel (Damage) they were in my mind from the moment it happened).

Because I was tired and thus more prone to the shyness, I did not mention the Fabulous Drusilla Theory (okay, thats a bit overstated, but you know what I mean ;)). But I wish I had.

Willow's bisexuality, or rather lack thereof was discussed. Is it easier for people to embrace (heh) or understand gay characters as opposed to bisexual ones (one panelist suggested that in the wake of Tara's death that Willow ought to have finally slept with Xander, which would then function as a better pretext for the Xander/Anya problems).

One panelist was rubbing his hands together because he'd saved up Angel to watch after Buffy was over (but still hadn't started it yet?) and did a little dance. I hate him.

Seeing Red was, appropriately, much discussed, though no consensus on its sucess, failure, meaning, revelations about Spike and or vampires was reached.

Okay, thats about all that I remember.

Oh!
The guy sitting next to me announced at the end of the thingie (I hesitate to call it a panel, even though it kind of was) said that Alyson, Nick and um, ASH (I think?) had all reportedly done some voicework for the Buffy animated series, with episodes written by Jane Espenson and that it would start sophmore year and be the year that the monks constructed, basically - Season 1 with Dawn added.

Is this where I start crossing my fingers?

Tara stuff too! We knew already (right?) that Amber had been asked to be in Conversations with Dead Things, but schedules and contracts couldn't be worked out, but also Joss had originally worked Tara into Chosen, that she would appear in some way and have a big emotional scene, which presumably also fell victim to the same.
Like I needed more Jossverse might have beens to cry over.

Sleep now.
