Spitting on the salad fork
Dec. 28th, 2002 11:44 pmFurther adventuring yielded Buffy Season 2, sadly I couldn't find anyone to rejoice with me (the parents are such heathens). My impression has always been that it was on the whole one of the more depressing seasons (along with 6 and some of 3), but I don't know if that's because episodes like the Becoming set cast such a long shadow. I suppose I now have the opportunity to find out.
The day ended with me breaking down and ordering the blasted extended version from Amazon, with the side treat of Season 1 along with. Amazon has it for downright cheap as entire seasons of anything go. Most of the Christmas money (except for a bit reserved for books) is now gone, but I had fun while it lasted.
I've also just started to reread the Dark is Rising series (after who knows how many years) and it's interesting to see what stayed with me and what didn't. The near entirety of the plot has vanished from the grey cells, while odd not entirely accurate pictures of the characters have remained. It's also hard to tell whether my supposition about what is going to happen (and what the backstory is) comes from memory or from the text.
Movies seen : 3
Catch me if you can : Very funny and genuinely human. Great casting and no Spielberg issues for me.
