Well this is cool. One of the local independent movie houses (Clinton Street Theater) is showing a Chuck Jones retrospective tonight, so my Pops and I are going. It sounds like they're showing most of the usual suspects (What's Opera Doc? and so on) but some of his less known pieces, an army moral film (I think), as well.
This is one of two theaters where when anime comes through it lands (though fortunately Metropolis was picked up by Regal so I should have a chance to see it, because they only tend to land for a week at a time).

Hee! Neato.

If you happen to miss Metropolis, the guy at the anime club here has it. Just so you know. :)

I went roaming around town the other day, by the by, and found a bead store for you. We'll have to go rambling around once you get into town, whenever that is :)

Will you be online anytime soon? Got some moving stuff I wanna talk about.

I claim this planet in the name of Mars!

It was much fun. Put together by one of the people who runs the theater and he did a little intro with information on some of them, most interesting for the ones I hadn't seen before. Including one shown only to soldiers during WWII and one of the characters he created that's now banned.
Namely - Inky. An, er, small black child (with unfortunatly the sort of sterotypical look of the time period, nothing in how he acts or is acted upon was offensive to me so I'm guessing that the design has to be the reason for the ban).
And heh. Two of my personal favs. What's Opera Doc?, with the Wager and "Oh Bwunhilda, you're so lovely." And heh, Bugs in drag. Also. "Duck Dogers in the twenty-fourth and a half cennnnnntury!"

Whoo hoo! Must do more beading and actually *learn* techniques.

I'll be around-ish all day tomorrow and leaving Fred on. :)
