Apr. 6th, 2002 01:21 pmHo ho ho.
Got my SAT scores!
Math - 550
About what I expected, 514 is the national average, so eh, am not torn up.
Verbal - 800
Hee. missed one, but that's only .25 point deduction so rounded up is still perfect. Hee.
Objectively, I have to say that it doesn't hurt to have the vocabulary and extra three years of reading that being nearly 22 (instead of 18 or younger) allows. And of course the reverse in math.

We are so fucking smart it scares me.
Did you know that fewer people get an 800V than get an 800M? We had two 800Ms in my graduating class, and I was the only 800V.

Date: 2002-04-06 06:44 pm (UTC)Well.
Hopefully quiver a little.
I think, maybe, that verbal skills come to a point where verbally wired people are at an advantage then those with a math bent. That math's higher levels become undeciferable by the language oriented at a further point along the spectrum then most of the verbal skills that they're testing for do.
Reading comprehension for example, instead of being like a problem that has a definite carry this number here, substitute and whatnot to solve, each case is unique unto itself and so less easy to study in any real way.
Or uh, something like that.

And go ahead and let her know if you talk to her soon. I think we and at least her, maybe some of her intended staff too, should get together for an informal passing of the torch thing. Give them the old files if they want to archive and answer any questions and what not.
It'll be interesting to see MGC exist again ;)

Oh yes, I will I will. Don't have a copy on my computer right now, but will download one as soon as I'm not braindead. Combination of more classes and less sleep than I'm used to makes Stupid Alex ;)
Must talk to Blue :)
