It occurred to me while pondering the affairs of men and mice (or rather the me and mice that I just typed, both equally disturbing ideas) that the Borg are sort of socialist fascists. 'Cause, okay. They're fascists for the hours, seconds, eons that they're assimilating people, whether individuals or entire civilizations. We impose our ideology and our culture onto you. Then they go nearly all egalitarian, except for the elite intellectuals - we call them Queens, and equality reigns among the workers... I mean drones.
